Questions? Quick Help

HOOK Lobesia is a fully formulated, ready-to-use formulation that does not require dilution with water. HOOK Lobesia can be applied using various application techniques and equipment. Warm, soapy water can be used clean equipment. In order to avoid product drying, unused HOOK Lobesia should be well sealed and stored in a cool, dry place.

Directions:

Application methods and sites: In order to achieve effective control of Lobesia botrana, proper application needs to be completed. HOOK Lobesia should be applied to locations that cannot be easily accessed by the general public such as higher up on fences, other inanimate objects, tree trunks, branches, non-edible foliage, etc. HOOK Lobesia must not be applied directly to fruit or edible parts of plants. HOOK Lobesia will be most effective when applied at a height of 2 meters or higher. Higher placement of HOOK Lobesia dollops will provide the best attract and kill effect.

Application Rates and Intervals Between Applications: Apply HOOK Lobesia to non-edible crop surfaces such as branches, at a rate of 1000 grams per hectare. The potent pheromone attractant will draw male L. botrana from long distances allowing for convenient spacing between HOOK LOBESIA point sources. Refer to tables below for specific application parameters.

Application Timing and FrequencyHOOK Lobesia selectively eliminates male L. botrana from a localized area; therefore, disrupting mating and causing a decline in population that can lead to localized reduction or elimination. Population reduction will not occur immediately. In order to protect crops from damage, begin HOOK Lobesia applications immediately after L. botrana are detected in pheromone monitoring traps. Re-apply HOOK Lobesia every 6- to 8-weeks as indicated by population monitoring. This product resists wash-off. HOOK Lobesia can be combined with other direct; on-fruit protection methods such as insecticide sprays. HOOK Lobesia will be most effective when used in a preventative, season long control program that starts before moth populations build and fruit become susceptible to damage. Removal and disruption of males will function optimally when populations are maintained at low levels.
