ISCA CEO cites successful year amid challenges
The year 2020 presented unprecedented challenges to all of us, to say the least.
Yet for ISCA, Inc., 2020 was marked by many successes in advancing worldwide our line of green insect-control products that protect crops with pheromones and other naturally occurring semiochemicals without polluting the environment. Here are a few words from ISCA CEO Agenor Mafra-Neto about ISCA’s 2020 accomplishments under difficult circumstances:
As 2020 comes to a close, I want to thank you all for the opportunity to interact with you over the course of a truly historic year.
Like many of you, ISCA learned how to adapt, to manufacture in a COVID-safe way, to meet remotely, to work from home, and despite it all, we still managed to strengthen our culture. In 2020 ISCA expeditiously produced and delivered efficacious semiochemical products to the market. For example:
-
- Growers started changing the way they manage honey bees, providing more efficient and safer pollination with APIS Bloom. That’s why consumers have access to bigger berries and watermelons.
- We helped foresters protect hundreds of thousands of acres of forests against devastating pests, such as bark beetles and gypsy moths. Green forests are more resilient to fires and degradation due to global warming.
- We helped protect millions of acres of soy, cotton, and corn against armyworms and other pests, increasing yields and reducing environmental impacts.
- The fruits and nuts you eat and the wine you drink might have been produced using our safe semiochemical tools.
With your help, we will change agriculture together for the better.
Happy holidays.
Peace, Joy, Love, and Prosperity.
